How do I adjust my glasses?

Even the best glasses can sometimes sit a little crooked or slide down your nose. But fear not – as part of the Monkeyglasses family, you’re always welcome to a free glasses check and professional adjustment in our Flagship Store in Nørrebro, Copenhagen.

If you’d rather try adjusting them yourself at home, you can follow our simple guides below:

When you glasses slide dowm

If your glasses keep sliding down your nose, it can often be fixed by adjusting the temples. Hold them under warm water for 30–60 seconds to make the material more flexible. Then gently bend the temples so they fit more snugly behind your ears. Finish by placing the glasses on a flat surface to check that the length is even on both sides.

When your glasses sit crooked

If you notice that your glasses tilt to one side, a small adjustment can usually fix it. Start by softening the temples under warm water for 30–60 seconds. Then gently twist the temple that’s causing the issue until the glasses feel straight again. Place them on a table and make small adjustments until the frame rests flat.

Keep in mind that very few ears are perfectly symmetrical – so it may be necessary for the temples not to be completely identical.
